The narrative starts off strong but ends with what feels like unfocused mini chapters on whatever was on Bourdain's mind at the moment. Which works because it enforces the character sketch already formed.... An interesting look into kitchen life which the cooks in my life assure me is totally true but they are blowhards so it might mean the book is totally true.
