Another Sparks’ book that made me cry. The storyline was nothing I expected. There were several twists that I didn’t expect. Jeremy & Lexie meet, fall in love & get pregnant in just a matter of weeks. He leaves everything behind in NY to move to a small town in NC with Lexie. They get married & he slowly adapts to small town life & all of its quirks. He gets suspicious of her, if the baby is his, is she fooling around with an old boyfriend? Turns out she is not. They are very happy, then during an ultrasound, a scary thing is found & they fear losing the baby. Turns out the baby is born fine, but Lexie dies during childbirth. Shocker! Sad ending, but Jeremy stays in NC & raises their daughter by himself.
