** spoiler alert ** You know it's a good thriller when you're scared in the middle of the day reading it. Strasser makes a convincing mystery writer when a serial murderer ends up in their high-end community where three popular students have gone missing. Madison is trying to put the pieces together since Lucy was an ex-friend friend, Adam, another friend who was Lucy's boyfriend, and Courtney, her eccentric friend who she recently found out was dating Adam.

The mystery is put together through an anonymous blog and thread comments, side stories, and narration as people are trying to uncover a pattern that would lead to the students. All the while, Madison is trying to figure out Tyler, a new student who she has a crush on, and why she's getting mysterious messages.

The reveal of the serial killer as one of their "teachers" who was responsible for killings in other states of popular kids is creepy. Especially how she kept them caged and killed them through dehydration. It was stunning.
