Once again Cussler brings us Dirk Pitt as the James Bond of the maritime world but this time he also features his newly discovered son and daughter from an earlier period of his life. The classic heroic formula persists but with an undersea discovery made by his progeny that has the potential to re-write history. As this storyline unfolds Dirk confronts Specter and challenges their threat to the world; thankfully successfully. Light and entertaining reading that doesn’t require concentrating on the premise or the solution.
