This genre-bender is a lot of fun! An interesting Victorian world where vampires, werewolves, and ghosts are accepted as members of polite society, laugh-out-loud witty prose, and a steamy romance combine to make this an un-put-down-able start to a series. I quite liked it.

(It would be a good crossover choice for YA, but some of the love scenes are *quite* steamy, so be warned!)

The witty tone and feisty female protagonist reminded me of Amelia Peabody.
