it was amazing

I loved this. It's similar to Roots in its concept, except that it is purportedly fictional and begins at emancipation. What i mean by that is though the characters are fictional and the story is fabricated by way of historical research, it reads as true. The characters have life and i am proud to have met them. It asks a very serious and pertinent question: what does any ancestral experience that has defined a culture mean to the seventh generation (or, rather, the eighth)?
