I really enjoyed this one from the start. Yes, it's pretty reminiscent of other books, particularly The Hunger Games, but that's not a bad thing considering how much I loved that series. The very ordered society is interesting as is the story of Cassia's Match and feelings towards it. I think that it'd be interesting to actually delve deeper into Xander's feelings - I feel like we missed out on getting to know him more. The fact that there is going to be more books following gives great promise for some more depth now that the scene is set. This book had me hooked from start to finish. I am really excited to read the next book and I can't wait until it's released.
