** spoiler alert ** I personally didn't agree with Suzanne Brockmann's note at the end of the book explaining why she had to write about the Dentist. I wasn't at all intrigued by that short novella. If anything, I thought that would be the plot behind the next book and just forgot all about it when it wasn't there.
The other thing was that Dan Gillman is an asshole. I didn't like him at all and was VERY happy at the end when Jenn didn't fall into his arms.
All that drama with Izzy was pretty ridiculous. I would have been pissed as hell had he actually taken up the congresswomen on her offer.
Overall, this book wasn't needed. Nothing happened besides Sam killing the Dentists, and even that wasn't a big part of the plot.
Even the kidnapping of Alyssa, which is mentioned in the summary, didn't play as big a role as you would have expected it. Tracy was held longer in Into the Storm.
I can't wait to see what the next book brings though.
