Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke, is a story sbout a father with a special gift. When he reads alound he makes characters come to life from the book. Meggies's father doesn't know he read his wife into the book; Inkheart. He learns later in the story that the only way he can save her is to have his daughter read aloud the story.

During the reading of this book, I made a text-to-self connection. My dad and the father have a loving side to them, and they care for them and there family.

I would definitly give this book four stars. It was interesting idea to have characters come to life from books. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes fantasy and heart-felt stories.
