Three and half stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, but it didn't stay with me the way some of Willis' other work does. Since To Say Nothing of the Dog is one of my favorite books, perhaps my expectations for this one were just too high.

It's extremely clever, informative, and quite funny at times. However, I felt like the broad satire of sheep mentality and business management wasn't strong enough to carry the novel for 250 pages. The end result is a very intelligent book that is somewhat lacking in heart. Also, I'm pretty sure I don't buy any of the science-speak that supports the book's conclusion, though what do I know? I'm a liberal arts major.

Overall, a very nice way to kill several hours, though it mainly made me want to reread To Say Nothing... in order to revisit Willis at her best.
