David Buttrey This book is amazing. It's a great read on the history of The Supreme Court, focusing on last 30 years or so. The book gives a very frank recap of benchmark cases such as Roe vs. Wade, Bush vs. Gore, etc. Additionally, Toobin offers some insight on the people making those decisions and the political climate in which they make those decisions. Over the past 30 years, especially the past 10 or so there has been increasing political pressure on Supreme Court Judges as partisan politics seems to have crept into just about every aspect of political life in Washington - which is pathetic that money behind extreme ideas change so many people's views.

Right now in the book Toobin is just starting to scratch the surface on how international law is integrated into American politics and how this seems to be a very controversial issues for those in favor of the "Constitution in Exile" even though the Constitution itself in many ways reflected other international law policies.

I definitely recommend reading it!
