I was actually really impressed. It seems like forever since the newest Wings in the Night book had come out, and I expected some kind of lull and repetitive exposition, especially since I started the series when I was about 14 and that was 9 years ago. But I was very surprised.

The writing was good ole' Shayne style and a lot of our previous HEA characters returned or were mentioned. A lot of bad stuff happens in this book, and it makes me excited for the next one. There is so much more potential available due to the way this book went, so Shayne: you done good.

The romance pulled at the heartstrings, and the characters developed nicely throughout the book. There was a time or two where I wanted the tension cranked up just a notch between the main characters, where she should have slowed down and let the characters duke out their relationship problems, but that's probably my only complaint. She pulled off the cliche good/bad twin yet it was still fresh.

Can't wait til the October 2011 release of Twilight Fulfilled, which I presume follows Brigit, the other twin. Excited. :) (I even started rereading some of her older books just because I became infatuated again. Shesh.)
