Anne Fantastic book - great accompaniment To Kill a Mockingbird. Insightful look at the 60's, civil rights movement and life as an African American maid working for white Mississippi families. Clearly, they had no recourse to the law and were helpless to help themselves. Told through the voices of two maids and a compassionate white journalist. Apart from providing insight into their lives there is a solid back story about their stories being revealed, and their employees reaction to their stories. Didnt want to put it down and wish it hadnt ended.
