Annalisa Elyse, read it right now! ;) That and Wednesday Wars. They are connected--Okay for Now is a spin off from Wednesday Wars--but I don't know that I'd read them together. Sometimes it's nice to space out the good ones. I seriously love Gary Schmidt.

Elyse Geeeeeeeeee lol ok....Wednesday Wars too! I just bought (downloaded) "Okay for Now"....and I need to buy a book like I need a hole-in-the head....
I've 8 more books to finish reading 'just' for Netgalley soon --and that is not even 'our' book club Annalisa....haha or my local Jewish book cub (than God that one only meets ever 'other' month) ....and a dozen books I already own I'm still dying to read....

You're killin me.... (in a good way!)

cheers!

Annalisa I can sympathize! I can barely get to the books I want to read to every year with all my book club books. At least it's not a series, right? I didn't read Okay for Now until several years after I'd read Wednesday Wars.

Elyse By the way --since you read 'physical' books and we live near by--(I like them real books also) ---but I have physical books I'm happy to give to you if you want ---and I've been reading so much on Kindle these days with Netgalley --(trying to squeeze in one of my books at home when time) --

but I bet I have books you might like --(my gift to you for free)... Not sure if you've read these--but all are great shape...(yours if you want)...
Bel Canto, The Distant Land of My Father, A New Earth, The Twelve Tribes of Hattie, Midwives, Juliet, Naked...
plus...I might have others...

must get dinner going

Annalisa I actually live in Utah, otherwise I would totally take you up on some books!

Elyse Oh...why did I think you were in 'this' area? --- but you know -- maybe I'll surprise you before the year is up ---I'm still happy to send you a little care package sometime. I can send paperbacks --that's not too much!
We'll figure this out! I 'really' better get dinner going now! lol

Annalisa Haha. Okay, get your dinner going and we can discuss later. I would always be up for new books to read that you'd recommend but I don't want to put you out.
