did not like it
bookshelves: historicalfiction
Read in January, 1988

So twisted I did not enjoy it (although kept on reading). I think I read the sequel and the one done on Masterpiece Theatre then decided to boycott her in the future.

Kelly Well -- I will say that as much as I LOATHE the Wideacre Trilogy "The Other Boleyn Girl" is a very enjoyable read. I don't know why Gregory was able to make her characters in TOBG so sympathetic when the characters in the rest of her books make me want to gouge out my eyes.

CLM I think she suddenly decided to become more commercial and somehow mastered it. She probably always possessed the writing and research skills. And while I would probably enjoy The Other Boleyn Girl, I simply decided to boycott her for the Wideacre mistake. However, Abigail, while I wouldn't recommend *purchasing* her, there is always the library and you might well find the Boleyns as fascinating as I do. Look for Norah Lofts' The Concubine.
