I've read through volume 5 and my reaction consistently veered between "oh, so cute" and "dude, that's messed up." It's like a m/m(?)* version of old-school rapey Harlequins set mostly in high school, with shapeshifters and male(?)* pregnancies. The stories are strangely compelling, which is especially remarkable considering the mediocre drawing (the hands are so bizarre). I'm glad I read it, but I'm also glad I was able to borrow all (for now) 5 volumes from a friend.

* it's not just gender identity that's fluid in this series, which makes figuring out family relationships between characters who share the same parent very confusing - Hidekuni's biological mother is Yonekuni's biological father, for example.
