really liked it
bookshelves: graphic-novel, green-lantern, own
Read from January 01 to 02, 2011 — I own a copy , read count: 1

When I read that this was Hal Jordan's origin story AGAIN my initial reaction was to groan and then put off reading it for a few weeks expecting it to be boring.
I was wrong. Green Latern: Secret Origin (Vol 6) is my favorite trade collection so far (of the Goeff Johns Green Lantern run). It does deal with Hal Jordan's origin, but covering aspects that haven't been covered before (they were SECRET). Geoff Johns' uses this new angle on Jordan's origin to explain things mentioned in previous story arcs and to show the origins of the upcoming (upcoming at the time) crossover event Blackest Night.
Great art, great writing.
