Bundle of Trouble (A Maternal Instincts Mystery, #1)

This was a cute, if predictable, foray into the genre of chick lit. I've read mysteries where the heroine/investigator runs a coffee shop, a bakery, a catering service, an antique store, a winery but stay-at-home mom is a first. That being said, the reason I like the others is that I get to glean tips and trivia about the topics (other than crime) that interest and occupy the protagonist. Motherhood, I know about. I know that it's hard to get any sleep with a newborn. I know those last few pregnancy pounds take far longer to lose than you imagined. I know that some days, just getting dressed was an achievement. So I do miss those little surprising tidbits in the story that make me go, "Oh, I didn't know that!" or "That's a good recipe/craft tip/description of a place I've never been."
Entertaining, but not a must-read.
