I grabbed this book on my way out of the library. I had no clue that it was part of series (this seems to happen to me more often than not, though). For having no background, I still thought it was pretty cute. My only complaint was with the main character Kaitlin (who has about 22 nicknames). She was almost too sweet and innocent for what she is-- a Hollywood starlet with a controlling/crazy mom. Perhaps if I had a bit more background I'd understand how she's so normal? Kaitlin is basically the person every tween hopes their favorite celebrity secretly is... not personally knowing any celebrities myself, I can't exactly dispute that Kaitlin is a good reflection on reality, but I somehow doubt it. Regardless, I didn't find out any "Hollywood Secrets" that I already knew, but if I was 13, I would have gobbled it up.
