So, Bram Stoker wrote a mummy book. I didn't know this. Very enjoyable, and it's interesting how much of the book takes place in one house (plus flashbacks) -- a kind of strange way to make a story about a distant place also extremely local and even claustrophobic.

I listened to the public domain version at librivox.com. Apparently the Penguin edition has Stoker's original ending, which I'll have to check out.
