** spoiler alert ** Qwilleran and the cats are fine, but the plot and characters of this book are off. The identity of murderer is way open in the beginning. However, some episodes left me perplexed or wondering. One situation with the housekeeper's young grandson had gone missing and the body has just been discovered a few weeks later. The child's fate is never referred to again, the housekeeper returns to normal immediately afterwards. It just doesn't add up why this situation should be part of the plot other than it is the housekeeper's tragedy. Same goes to Qwilleran holding on the long lost love letters from the artist who was supposed to commit suicide decades ago. It just mentioned once and left at it. Ok....
