** spoiler alert ** This was a page turner with a tired-out plot. It was compelling enough for me to listen all the way through the audiobook, but just barely. There was little originality or character interest to really engage me. (What thriller is complete without a crashed exotic car?) Also, I was pretty turned off by the gratuitous sexiness and violence throughout. The epilogue seemed really tacked-on. I had the strong impression that Daisy's cruelness was exaggerated so that we wouldn't feel too bad about her treatment.
I read this because I enjoyed watching "Eye of the Needle," but overall I found this to be a disappointment.
