Wonderful sequel to Chains Seeds of America 1. This book is entirely from Curzon's point of view, and it starts out a few months later than the first book left off, which at first bothered me. I wanted to jump right in where we ended, and find out immediately what happened next to Isabel! But gradually those events are filled in, at least from Curzon's point of view, and then we see what happens to him as he fights in George Washington's army and winters at Valley Forge. The descriptions of their living conditions are so realistic you'll feel your feet going numb from the snow! And I really liked the camaraderie that develops between Curzon and his fellow soldiers, especially as events take a turn that he never expected. Great book, can't wait for the final installment in the trilogy!
