I've been on an end-of-the-world kick lately and have been devouring anything I can find. Fortunately (or unfortunately) alot of this includes Zombies, and while I've read a few stinkers here and there I've also read some excellent ones.

This one tops them all. In fact this may be one of the best books I've ever read.

While definitely a slow starter (I wasn't even sure I wanted to continue), the novel simply grabs a hold of you and becomes near impossible to put down. I retrospect it's obvious that we needed that slow start, as it helps it stand out from the pack.

There are slow moments but the book remains high octane. Tripp adds so much new to the zombie mythos I can only hope they catch on and become the "new standard".

And that final line? Beautiful, haunting, and has me begging for more.

Dont pass this up!
