** spoiler alert ** This is the second book to the Pretty Little Liars series. In this book the ex bffs keep being haunted by "A", someone who seems to know all their secrets and wants to use them against the girls because they he/she wants to hurt the girls the same way they hurt him/her. In this book "A" turns some of the girls against each-other. Hanna and Aria stop getting along when "A" tells Hanna that Aria stoled her boyfriend, Sean. "A" also revels one of Aria's secrets to her mother, "A" tells Ella, Aria's mother that Aria knew all along that her father was cheating on her mother. At the beginning all of the girls believe that Toby is "A" because the girls blinded his half sister so they think that he wants to get revenge on them . They also think that he killed Ali and they threatened to call the police. When they did this he committed suicide thinking that they were going to turn him in for raping his half sister but the girls were talking about Ali being murdered. In the note they find out that he didn't kill Ali but he was so ashamed of what he did to his sister and he couldn't live with it any longer so he decides to end his life. The book ends with a message "A" sends one of the girl, Emily telling her that he/she is not gone and that they were completely wrong by thinking he/she was Toby.
