Worth Dying For (Jack Reacher, #15)
by Lee Child
by Lee Child
Much much much better than his last, 61 hours. There were a few things that I didn't like about it, however. I love Jack Reacher but he's starting to become superhuman. In one chapter, Child will be giving thoughts and motivations of the bad guys, in the next chapter, Reacher will just figure out what the baddies thought in his head. He is able to take out 10 men that are both taller and heavier than he is, sometimes two at a time. At one point he makes a car on fire run into a house down a long driveway. He braces the gas pedal but doesn't tie down the steering wheel, but in true JReacher style, the car runs perfectly straight down the long driveway right into the exact spot that he wanted it to go. I mean, come on! Also, at the beginning of the book, Child makes a big deal about Reachers arms being hurt from his previous go around in 61 hours but toward the end of this book I guess he has recovered fully, because Child never mentions it again and Reacher is punching and swinging at things all over the place.
