bookshelves: mystery-must-reads

Winter's perfect for curling up into bed with a murder mystery- this book was my introduction to Karin Fossum- one of Norway's leading crime writers.

A body of fifteen-year-old Annie Holland is found in a beautiful Norwegian town where everyone knows each other and the suspect is one of their own; and Fossum weaves the horrific circumstances surrounding the crime with the lovely nature imagery of semi-rural Norway like a light-and-dark-braid.

The only complaint I have is that something I thought would have been perfect evidence for the murder is ignored by the cops- then again, I'm not a detective, or a crime writer, so what do I know. :-) Still recommended though.
