Read from December 14 to 27, 2010 — I own a copy

Like many other reviewers I didn't care for the writing style. The book is more of a narrated journey, and you are front and center in her mind to hear every little reaction and awkward squirm as she encounters various corpses. The corny jokes and puns were awful.

However, there is a fair amount of interesting historical information about the uses of dead bodies.

I wouldn't read other books by the author, I heard they all have a strong narrative voice.
