As a huge Cassie Palmer fan, I was both reluctant and eager to delve into Dorina's world considering how different of a protagonist she is compared to Cassie, but what I found was that Dory's world is every bit as action-packed, fast paced, and thrilling--not to mention the addition of a devastatingly sexy French vamp that we only caught a brief glance of in Cassie's story.

Dorina is spunky, sarcastic, and 100% pure kick-ass. Also, being able to see Mircea from her perspective was an added bonus. I had fun trying to piece the separate narratives together, but mainly just simply enjoyed reading Dorina's story. It was well worth the effort, and I'll be promptly staring Death's Mistress to see what snarky Dory's up to next.
