Selection of a new book club (Dinner & Discussion at Told in the first person, it's funny and laments the passing of childhood, young adulthood, great potential, and all things really. I liked it especially at first. It's a family drama (but a superficial family!) and also the tale of one guy, his woes and most of all his shallow worldview, outlook and assessment of the physcial attributes of women. Not my taste to spend so much time with this character but... it has lightness & humor and at the beginning and the end and some spots in between it's more weighty & thoughtful. Wonder what the women of the book club will make of it.
