This memoir covers the life of Queen Noor, the last wife of King Hussein of Jordan. I was inspired to read the book because I am fascinated by politics in the region and intrigued by the way in which leaders approach complex challenges. The book recounted events that took place during King Hussein's reign, but it lacked the depth and insight that I was craving. As a public figure committed to honoring the legacy of her husband, Queen Noor was guarded about revealing much more than a retelling events and facts.
