Good story -- I'll continue reading the series. I like the Everglades setting (also worked well to have the main character coming from urban Philadelphia so the two settings are sharper in focus because of the comparisons). The main character, Max, is well done. Writing, as I would expect from a newspaper reporter, is tight and easy to read.
