Read this in the summer, and I just finished re-reading it about 2 minutes ago. I never expected to love a book more by reading it again. This book blew my mind.
The story is mainly about Hanna adjusting to the strange town of Portero and trying to fit in.
I found Hanna to be a very relatable character considering that her favorite color is purple, like me, and she loves Swans. I LOVE SWANS! How much better could her character get? Hanna is also manic depressive, and sometimes she hallucinates. One day shell be depressed, the next shell be happy as an angel.
Dia Reeves writing style is so dark and different from other YA authors. She keeps you guessing what will happen next, & when there is a twist, your thinking " How much crazier can this book get?!" But it steps up another notch into a tornado of chaos.
The characters were great with lots of development.
With a very strong plot, and twisted moments, Bleeding Violet will keep you addicted.
I really enjoyed the ending, even though it wasn't really shocking. If you are a person that's into crazy and creative books, this one is for you.
I LOVED IT.
