Play Dead (Andy Carpenter Series, #6)
by David Rosenfelt
by David Rosenfelt
This is the first book I have read in the Andy Carpenter series. Since it's number six I was unaware of all the back story involed with the character ie. how did he end up with $20+million?. This is a good series for dog lovers although the dog is a secondary character, not front and center (and narrating) like in the Chet and Bernie series. The story is told in first person narrative by Andy and includes lots of humorous/self-depricating/snarky asides which you may or may not find annoying. I kind of liked them. It was very fast-paced and a quick read at less than 300 pages, Not overly gory or filled with bad language but a bit edgier than a cozy.
