it was amazing

This book was written in the 60's so I thought it would be all "here's how christian whitey saved the savage natives" but it actually wasn't (too much). I was impressed by how forward thinking it was for the time it was written. It had two things I like - 1. Day-to-day life stories about another culture, 2. Day-to-day life stories about living in another area (back country BC, Canada). It really kept my attention; which is incredible for an audio book as normally the people talk so dang slow I lose focus. Though it's unrealistic in a lot of ways, the book moves fast, has likeable characters and is an overall great story. Loved it!
