wow...this is one of those books that is tough to read because of multiple story lines, and also because I am still not quite sure what is going on. But it's one of those books that I can't stop thinking about. The characters are fabulous, and strong, and resourceful, and evil. Incarceron is a prison that started out as an experiment and has now grown into something much more that Finn is trying to escape. He knows he wasn't born in Incarceron, but can't remember about his early years. Claudia is on the Outside, her father is the Warden of Incarceron, and she has been told that Incarceron is a paradise. Once the two begin to communicate with each other...things begin to get interesting.

I finished this book today. Gotta admit that reading the book 15 minutes each period each day was tough to follow this book. If you only read a little each day, this book is somewhat hard to follow. There are many characters to keep straight, and the narrative switches from Inside to Outside frequently. Having said that, I loved it. I love Claudia, a brave strong girl who won't take crap from anyone, especially her father, and Finn the prisoner...or is he? Lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing...two enthusiastic thumbs up! The sequel is out...and it just bumped itself up in the to-read list thanks to a nice little cliff hanger at the end of this one.

Cheney Sounds somewhat along the same premise as The Maze Runner so if you end up liking that you should read it.

Cheney Let me know if it's worth reading after the second one. Maybe if the second one is better I'll pick up the series... (BTW...The sequel to The Maze Runner was so much better.)
