Evanovich is addicting. And there are so many good and timely tips about childraising, sex, interior decorating, pet care, family relationships, interpersonal relationships, that whoever reads her doesn't really need to read Spock, Dr. Ruth, John Bradshaw, or any pet expert, or watch HGTV. She also cancels out the need to research which cars will hold up under extreme conditions. She provides insight into sensitive theological issues, especially how "interesting" women try to circumvent the guilt trip laid upon them by priest and church. She makes me laugh so hard I cannot stop. I have to try to supress giggles when some scene or another floats through my head during the day. It ain't great literature, but it is great reading.
