She took her time introducing the characters and setting up the background story. It was different from the other stories that I've read from NR. It wasn't a bad thing, just different. When the main characters finally meet, and the real "story" starts being told, then that's when everything gets better. Worth the read because it's NR and you will never be disappointed with her.

If you feel like it's taking forever in the beginning, just hang in there. The information is all relative to the story and to the end.
