Temple had me from page one. It is a real page turner in general, but was a bit of a let down in the second half.

It was a good story line, and had the makings of a decent movie even.
But, it seemed like there was much build up in the 1st half of the story, then a rush to the end. Almost as if Matthew Reilly had to finish this book under a deadline.

He created the characters well, then did not show their progression of growth through the second half of the book. The story build up was great, then ended like watching only the most unbelievable parts of Indiana Jones.

If it were a movie I would have been fine for the $1 RedBox cost, but unfortunately would not watch it again.

Reilly has always had that Temple of Doom style, but I think that Temple is not one of his best works.
