** spoiler alert ** BarkLessWagMore had this book listed as one she found most disturbing. When I saw that it was a short story and was available for free on line, I had to see what the scoop was. I found it at google ebooks and finished it moments ago.

It has a bit of the Tell-Tale Heart feel to it, but that could be just due to timing. I liked it quite a lot as you weren't quite sure where it was going (or even where it went). There were clues in the "diary" where our narrator slipped, making you go back a page or two to make sure you read what you read. A very nice gothic creepiness to the tale makes it something that feels like it should be told by the fire while the winter winds whip around outside.
