Christians have an increasingly important responsibility to make ourselves aware of environmental issues and to take steps to minimize our negative impact on creation, especially on other people. Americans use far too much electricity, produce too much garbage, and burn too much fuel. Sleeth challenges us to use less, both for the purpose of helping future generations and simply to improve our own lives - having more physical and mental space for God and our families. He focuses mostly on ideas of compassion, modesty, stewardship, creativity, etc. It's challenging without being preachy or cynical.
