Debbie Macomber is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! She makes you genuinely care about her characters as though you lived in the towns she creates and the people there are your personal friends. I loved this book because it brings forward the truth that Christmas is not about gifts and all the craziness, but about Jesus first of all, and about family and matters of the heart. The fact that a dog played a big part just really touched my heart as an animal lover. In fact, my dog was curled in my lap as I tearfully read the last beautiful page!
