this was an astonishing look into a life I'm not accustomed to or would ever like to be. I was continually astounded at the goings on in that family! How the author stays grounded and overcomes is remarkable. Positive attitude and sheer endurance get these kids through. Showed me a side of people I didn't know was possible. Much respect for what the children have been able to accomplish. Selfishness on the parents part rules the book. Very immature and indulgent. I felt they needed a good talking to and whipping into shape. Very interesting and worth reading, but continually sad.
