Whoa, this was totally awesome. As much as I pretty consistently love Charles Burns, this almost feels like a more "mature" work or something, in the sense that there seems to be so much going on, and even with the "sort of" teenage character there's a lot more narrative insight, and the weird shit feels more thought out. I don't know, but I also had no idea this was the beginning of a series until I got to the last page, so I'm pretty excited that there are more of these coming up.
