Alien Tango (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #2)
by Gini Koch (Goodreads Author)

Katherine Katt works for the government in their aliens division - specifically, working with aliens from Alpha Centauri to protect Earth from parasite aliens. She's also dating an alien, Jeff Martini, whose parents want him to dump that silly human girl and settle down with a nice young thing of his own species and religion. But she doesn't have time to worry about her love life - parasite aliens are popping up in clusters for no apparent reason, an unknown entity has infiltrated a NASA space shuttle, the American government wants to start using the A-C aliens in wars against other countries, and oh yeah, people are trying to kill her. Again.
Every once in a while I read a book that is so intense I can't read it in one sitting. I have to set it down and walk away because I'm too keyed up to focus on the page. This is one of those books, especially towards the end.
This is a better read than its prequel. The info dumps care less frequent and less jarring. While I'm sure the prologue helped, explanations are worked into the text more smoothly as well. Dialogue with Kitty feels more like conversations and less like lectures. Kitty's revelations come from chains of thought that have been hinted at in advance.
While there were a few bumps along the way, this book was a great read, both funny and thought-provoking. I give Alien Tango a B+. See full review at What If Books Etc.
