I read the first two books in this trilogy shortly after I had my first 4 years ago. At the time I was looking for something mindless I could concentrate on even while sleep deprived and these seemed to fit the bill. Even then, the series really didn't interest me all that much but since I bought all three in the series I decided to read the last on and be done with it. Valley of Silence is a weak ending to an already weak trilogy. There is so much vampire stuff out there that is actually entertaining -this just couldn't compare.
