I have no idea where to begin with this particular novel.

Sharon Ashwood is a new author to me, I scanned the back cover of Ravenous and found the blurb to be interesting enough to buy. I've been wanting something fresh and new to read for a while and the idea Sharon Ashwood had was so original I couldn't resist.

I first want to say that from the moment I started reading, I was hooked and could not read it fast enough. The opening scene had me so engulfed in the heroine I nearly missed the hero. Her characters are very real, strong and incredibly written. Holly is a wonderful heroine- completely believable she is weak and strong, normal and supernatural, vulnerable and strong. I rarely find heroines I truly enjoy, it was so wonderful to find one here.
Alessandro was a male that immediately pulled me in. Strong and silent to the core, he is loyal, steadfast and unwavering. Their inner thoughts combined with their current lives and struggles were a brilliant addition of insight into characters that were already solidly strong.
I could not get enough of the world. The building was so wonderful woven into the story each bit of history and/or explanation came so very natural it was as if I had been submerged in the world my entire life. Brilliant imagination, creative explanations and solidly laid out structure made me feel like I had completely entered another universe that managed to still remain as normal and typical as mine. I loved her combination of vampires, fae, weres, ghouls and the ever imaginative- changelings. The battle of good and evil- light and dark was never a clear divide but it was enough to invoke horrifying and suspense ridden anticipation as I turned each page. I laughed, I panicked, I held my breath and I moved to the edge of my seat. This book took me for a wild ride I can not wait to relive with her next installments. A solid 5 star rating from me, Sharon Ashwood has moved to my 'automatic buy' list. I am already anxious for more.
