I bought this book for my Kindle, as I love to read these kind of books around the Christmas holidays. This is one by one of my favorite authors, Debbie Macomber. Light, easy and fun, I really liked it. It revolves around 3 very different people in a small Washington town, near Christmas. One is an aging gentleman who knows he doesn't have long to live and wants his wife to be cared for and moved into a local retirement community (but she doesn't want to leave her home). Then there's a woman who was divorced years ago but can't get past the hurt of her divorce to move on, and finally, my favorite, a little boy who just wants a dog for Christmas. The angel Gabriel assigns three angels to handle their prayer requests - love their names. The angels are Shirley, Goodness and Mercy! Loved it, very sweet little book, great for this time of year :)
