This jacket, this title -- what's not to love??? This is a prequel to Wuthering Heights, and it packs such a punch of gothic horror that I could not sleep after I finished. Tabby is a jewel of a narrator, and the entire concept is so bizarre and yet so breathtakingly creative that you, as the reader, are in the perfect vulnerable place to be swept up completely in the lore. Chapter header illustrations are completely macabre and I found myself looking forward to them.

John Loved this one! Short, sweet, and oh so creepy.

Adele Griffin Oh, GOOD. I think this cover has the power to turn people to dust, it's the scariest thing I ever saw.

John The illustrations are also really creepy at the chapter headings. It's nothing too complex, but it's worth the read - especially since it's not too long.
