it was amazing
bookshelves: futuristic-dystopia, favorites, thought-provokers

This was an interesting book. It reminded me a lot of 'The Giver'. It's about a futuristic community that is blind. Literally- none of them can see. Their ancestors decided long ago that sight was a curse, and all babies born have their sight destroyed. This story focuses on a boy who suddenly, after years of blindness, learns to see, and the way it affects his life. I really enjoyed it.
